Chloroquine

It can also be used for other conditions determined by your doctor. Chloroquine for the treatment of acute attacks and suppression of certain strains of malaria and a certain type of parasitic infection (extraintestinal amebiasis).

Important:

• Chloroquine may cause dizziness. Do not use chloroquine, if:

  • You put arsenic, astemizol, terfenadyn, cimetidine, Cisaprid, akryhin or dofetilide.
  • If your symptoms do not improve, or they get worse, check with your doctor.
  • Chloroquine can lead to increased sensitivity to the sun. Chloroquine alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or perform other potentially dangerous tasks.
  • Pregnancy and breast-feeding: If you are pregnant, taking chloroquine, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using chloroquine during pregnancy.
  • Laboratory tests, such as blood cell count and vision tests may need to monitor your progress. Reflection of your knee and ankle will be checked regularly.
  Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of them attracted to you.
