Drug Class and MechanismIt works, restore the balance of serotonin, a natural substance in the brain, which helps to improve certain mood problems. Citalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).
Missed DoseIf you miss a dose of citalopram, take it as soon as possible. Do not take 2 doses once. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missing dose and return to your normal dose of the list.
