Do not use Levaquin, if:

• You are allergic to any ingredient or any other Levaquin quinolone antibiotics (eg ciprofloxacin)
• You have some type of irregular heartbeat (QT interval prolongation syndrome, QT interval prolongation) or low potassium levels

• Corticosteroids (such as steroids), because the risk of tendon problems may increase
• Anticoagulants (eg warfarin), because the risk of bleeding may increase
• Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (such as ibuprofen) or theophylline because the risk of serious side effects, including seizures, may increase
• Serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) (eg duloksetyn), because they may increase the risk of side effects of Levaquin

• If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding
• If you have any instructions or sale of drugs, traditional Chinese medicine preparation, or dietary addition
• If you have allergies to medicines, foods or other substances
• If you or a family member have a history of fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat (such as QT prolongation), chest pain, angina or heart attack
• If you have a history of other heart problems (such as heart failure, enlarged heart), diabetes, liver, kidney, tendon problems (such as inflammation), or Alzheimer's disease
• If you have narrowing or hardening of blood vessels in the brain, increased pressure in the brain, nervous system, or confiscation of the history (such as epilepsy)
