Sumycin (tetracycline)
Sumycin is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria.
If you need antacids containing aluminum, calcium, magnesium, or preparation containing bismuth, iron, zinc, or sodium bicarbonate, or calcium-rich foods (such as milk, dairy products, calcium fortified juices), do not take them 3 hours before or after taking Sumycin. Consult your doctor if you have questions.
With full glass of water to Sumycin (8 oz/240 mL). Use Sumycin in accordance with the doctor's instructions. Check the dosage on the label instructions exactly. Do not lie down after 30 minutes Sumycin.
Sumycin inside an empty stomach to at least 1 hour or 2 hours after meals. Continue to take it, even if you feel several days.
To completely clear the infection, take Sumycin for the full course of treatment.
Sumycin is a tetracycline antibiotic. It works by slowing the growth of sensitive bacteria, to prevent the production of proteins required for bacterial growth. Slow down the growth of bacteria allows the body's defense mechanisms at their disposal.
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missing dose and return to your normal dose of the list. Do not take 2 doses once. If you miss a dose of Sumycin, put it as soon as possible.
