Trecator Sc (etionamid)

Trecator - SC is used to treat tuberculosis (TB) infection in combination with other drugs. It can also be used for other conditions determined by your doctor.

If several hours have passed, or the dose is about the time in the future, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. Check the dosage on the label instructions exactly.
Etionamid should be taken with other drugs combined. If stomach discomfort, with food to reduce stomach irritation. Instructions for use etionamid your doctor.

Etionamid can take or without food. Do not take 2 doses once. Check the dosage on the label instructions exactly.
If you miss a dose etionamid, you often, can as soon as possible.

Etionamid is an antibacterial agent. It does this by inhibiting or stopping the growth of TB cells, leading to cell death.

To missing doses as long as you remember. Do not put extra medicine to make up for missing doses. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missing dose of medication, take the next regular time.

Drugs stored at room temperature in airtight containers, away from heat and light.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

• If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding
• If you have any instructions or sale of drugs, traditional Chinese medicine preparation, or dietary addition
• If you have allergies to medicines, foods or other substances
• If you have diabetes, liver disease, or vision problems

• You are allergic to any ingredient, etionamid
• You have severe liver disease
